Here's a few photos from SAFS music session with their Lifestyles group in Smethwick a couple of weeks ago!
The weekly session is hosted by musicians Jon and Ray whose enthusiasm for the project is admirable. Jon and Ray bring in their instruments, guitars, drums etc, stick on some classic tunes and everyone starts jammin'. Simple.
Self-expression and freedom to make whatever kind of music you like is the first goal of the session. The second is to be as loud as you possibly can and then go louder.
I am embarrassed to admit I was moved to tears when I witnessed this session, it was just so powerful. I'd never heard anything like it.
Jon and Ray, hats off to you for making such a great outlet for these young adults to cut loose and explore their creativity.
