I first met Abbie and Ross on our Engagement shoot earlier in 2017 after they had made the initial enquiry. Their friendship struck me first and foremost - giggling the whole way through, I knew their wedding would be just the same - and it was - a whirlwind of cute, romantic, loveliness. I knew they wanted everyone to have fun and keep everything lighthearted and high energy. Abbies gorgeous dress was by Martina Liana and I just loved the pretty pinks and blues in her bouque
Laura and Pete - this was very much your day. From the bottom up, you designed this wedding with every detail of your relationship in mind. The best way I can describe this wedding is Glastonbury in a barn. Their choice in Over Barn, Gloucestershire was just spot on too - they chose one that was just a shell to begin with, one that they could fill with their many musical memories together, with bunting and vintage jam jars, with a photo booth, skittle alley, hoopla, an actual
So here’s a slice of what my first ever paid wedding gig looked like. Helen and Tom’s beautiful wedding at Kelmarsh Hall was back in 2012. The thing is, I really, really loved it all. Although I wasn't the main photographer, I loved the fact that I could get paid to photograph people - it felt like a dream. So much so that it felt too good to be true and so I shied away for a couple of years. Isn't it silly that the thing that you often want most seems too unobtainable that y
Emma and Tim, thank you so much for giving your all to my camera! Your energy was so infectious and it was a blast photographing your wedding at Curradine Barns. Although I was only with you for a short time, your kindness penetrated me and I came away buzzing. I love the romance, the 'hold-me-tight' kisses the beauty and the friendship in your relationship. As I am with many couples - totally spoilt. Plus you're ruddy beautiful people so it makes my job too easy really. As I
Well, what can I say? What a wonderful family and a wonderful wedding. I photographed Vicky and Stevens wedding at Nuthurst Grange, Solihull on Easter Sunday. I would like to say the weather was mild - but it wasn't. Storm Kate arrived and along with both Vicky and their young daughter Ella dosed up on antibiotics, there was the potential for this event - this huge, massive deal, once-in-a-lifetime kind of event to have been a wee bit stressful. The world does like to test yo
What an amazing thing to get booked by a couple who put just as much energy and enthusiasm into their engagement shoot as you do. I was in my element - it was all about fun and our adventures around Birmingham - the places that hold significance to Esther and Desmond. Its traditional in Singapore to wear your wedding outfits for an engagement shoot, something I was quite surprised by when Esthers initial enquiry came through. I'm embarrassed to admit that it wasn't until we a
There are two main things that come to mind when I think about wedding photography for me this year. The first is community. This year has been an incredible learning curve for me and having shot a mixture of my own, first shooting for others, second shooting and even third shooting for others, it's safe to say that my growth as a photographer has come from a community that have inspired, transformed and pushed me to work as creatively as I can; allowing me to really tune in
During our initial meeting, Lisa and Steve explained to me that they were after some really relaxed, candid photography on their wedding day and weren't too keen on any formal, posed photographs. After hearing this, I knew we'd be a good fit and I felt confident that I would be able to use my soft, documentary approach to its fullest. On the day of the wedding, I met Lisa in one of The Ardens hotel rooms, whereby I was greeted by a merry bridal party, all whizzing around with
We may have met at a fair, you may have found me online, I may have even been fortunate enough to be a recommendation. Either way, you got to the point where you dropped me and e-mail or a phone call to ask for my availability.
You may have some special requests or things you aren't sure about, so you ask a few more questions. You may want something that isn't listed on my website. Which ever it is, I will always try to accommodate where I can.
Because you are my invest
On the 15th and 16th September I had the opportunity to photograph Randy Fenoli's one off visit to the UK at New Hall, Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham. The event was organised by The Wedding Bells of Four Oaks and I had the pleasure of working with Nicola from Daffodil Waves Photography, documenting his talk with both brides and other wedding industry professionals.
Randy's TV programme 'Say Yes to The Dress' is huge in the States and currently airs on Sky's TLC over here. It
